Five years ago I was at my usual spot on a Wednesday evening. The Kawartha Kavaliers where about to start practice and I was opening the portable, at I.E.Weldon, where we kept our equipment. As I was opening the door, a rather large fellow walked up to me and introduced himself, he was Joe Gemmill.

When I think about it, it has taken me 30 years to get to this point. When I graduated from high school, in Lindsay, I spent the next 30 years traveling around Western Canada in various careers. But my one constant was my activity in Community organizations.
